ANIMAL EDUCATION AND RESCUE NFP

LIBERTYVILLE, Illinois, 60048-7343 United States

Mission Statement

Our mission is to bring people and animals together through education, inspiration, and rescue. We accomplish this through educating the general public on responsible pet ownership and how to best care for their pets. We give them resources for obtaining low-cost spay and neuter services for their pets. We assist other rescue organizations by passing their name on to people who may benefit from their services. We bring pets to schools and nursing homes to provide education and therapy. We assist in rescuing and placing unwanted animals.

About This Cause

Animal Education and Rescue, NFP (AEAR) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit serving Lake County, Illinois. We provide Pet Therapy. Volunteers with their pets visit nursing homes, assisted living facilities, schools for the disabled, and hospitals. Studies have proven that when people are exposed to animals lessens depressions and can lower blood pressure. We speak to schools, civic organizations on a large variety of topics. Some subjects include: responsible pet ownership and the reasons for spaying and neutering, how animals communicate with each other and with humans, and how children should safely approach animals. We rescue unwanted and abandoned pets, place them in a foster home where they are rehabilitated, and then find new, loving homes for them.
