About This Cause

Southwest Jewish Congress (SWJC) is a Texas based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with membership open to everyone. We offer educational program free and open to the public. SWJC oftens partners with other organizations and universities on programming. Recent programs have covered: civil rights movement, water shortage, online manipulation of teens, documentary film screening, antisemitism on campus, briefings on Israel, and building bridges through sports. We honor women, men and young adults from diverse disciplines and backgrounds who have been diligent in the pursuit of positive social change, and who, as role models, have made an impact on our communities, either local or regionally. These women, men and young adults advocate for inclusiveness in our society and support positions consistent with the mission of SWJC. Through the SWJC Building Bridges Grant Initiative we offer grants to local 501(c)(3) nonprofits, for specific projects, thus enabling them to accomplish their goals.
