About This Cause
A place where the talents, resources and gifts of the community connect and work together for the betterment of children and families. WE WERE CREATED as a neighborhood center established in 2008, we offer a number of services at an affordable cost – or even free. Together with the help from the Juvenile Welfare Board, Morton Plant, PTECH, City Clearwater, Clearwater for Youth, Walmart, Publix, countless individuals and organizations, we connect people of all ages with a variety of classes, services and resources that benefit them and our neighborhood at large. We received over $75,000 in in-kind donations from food to meeting space. We were awarded a $100,000 grant to purchase an RV Vehicle to begin implementing “on the spot” workshops in the neighborhood. We’re the place where community comes first. We need to expand our services not only in our neighborhood but surrounding areas as well. The funds raised go toward the expansion of those services and creating new services. QUICK FACTS: *We provided in person, virtual, and STREAM activities to 107 K-5 youth daily *We provided ongoing after school and youth development services to 44 K- 5 youth annually *We implement a boys and girls youth summit two times a year *We provide an annual youth summer camp and program for 70 K-8 youth *We provide FREE Notary, Fax, Copying, Computer access and referral services *We provide workshops for youth/adults (karate, arts, social media, character development, music, dance, STEM, TV & Camera Production, money budgeting and mental health awareness) *We drove the new RV to three events and provided activities for the participants. It is already scheduled for several events in the 2024-25 year *We provided 139,420 services for housing, elderly utility payments, social services, healthcare, job counseling, tax filing, weekly food drives and training program services to 3,550 youth, 1,189 adults and fed 660 families monthly *We coordinated 9 programs and held 7 neighborhood events at the Greenwood Aquatic Center *We co-coordinate the City Wide Community Day event for Red Ribbon Month for 2,500 participants *We conducted ongoing youth programs in photography, 3-D Printers and Robotics Sign Language Classes, STEAM Classes, Girl Scouts and more *500 participants attended our 8th Annual Rising Above! Youth Explosion Leadership Conference SPONSORSHIP DOLLARS TO BE USED FOR: *Expanding STEAM/Robotics curriculum to help more community youth and adults enter this field *Offset expenses for the 2025 Annual Rising Above! Youth Explosion *To expand our programming to include Mental Health Awareness *Expand CNFC’s YouTube and “Rising Above! TV” program *Increase our Social Media footprint to create a Youth Leadership Channel *Purchase musical instruments to teach youth how to play during our “Journey With Jazz” *Continue to expand our youth Sunshine Bowling League
