Mission Statement
Building on Love, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a mission of helping families in our community who are facing a life-altering medical condition. We do this by providing financial support to serve as a bridge and assist with essential living expenses. Building on Love also partners with local organizations and several Ronald McDonald House Charities chapters to further our mission.
About This Cause
How We Help... Collaborating closely with our partners at the Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center, Capital District Physicians Health Plan (CDPHP) and New York Oncology Hematology (NYOH), Building on Love provides short-term financial support to families residing in the Greater Capital Region supporting a loved one recently diagnosed with a life-altering medical condition. Our focus is to help families in the weeks following diagnosis so we can help ensure they do not fall behind on their bills. We help with non-medical expenses, focusing on housing, transportation, utilities and food security. Our grants provide a temporary financial bridge to families allowing them to focus on the health of their loved one and family and to plan for their financial health as well. We pay vendors directly via bills provided by our families. We also partner with local organizations, businesses and several Ronald McDonald Charities chapters to further our mission.
