Mission Statement
We are a non profit no kill shelter (501 (c)(3) for cats and dogs. We rescue many of our dogs from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control e-list. Our cats are strays or owner surrenders.
About This Cause
Home Fur Good's mission is to eliminate euthanasia of treatable, adoptable cats and dogs in Maricopa County through spay/neuter promotion, adoption, medical treatment and community awareness. Since inception we have rescued over 7,000 cats and dogs. All our animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and vet checked before adoption. Additionally cats are tested for FIV/Felv and dogs are tested for tick borne illnesses. Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of care for our cats and dogs so we are dependent upon the generosity of the public. We have 2 full time staff members and 12 part time kennel techs to ensure that all our cats and dogs receive daily care. Our wonderful volunteers are involved with enrichment programs, adoptions, fundraising and marketing. In addition to the adoption program we have a low cost vaccine clinic open to the public and a low cost dental clinic open to the public. All proceeds go to support shelter activities.
