Mission Statement
Jail Guitar Doors seeks a more fair and just America. A 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in the state of California, we provide musical instruments and rehabilitative workshops to help incarcerated individuals develop essential life skills that will support them while incarcerated as well as after they have returned to their communities.
About This Cause
Inside federal, state, city, county, and youth correctional facilities and public schools, we implement trauma-based arts-in-corrections programs throughout the whole of the United States. We also advance new solutions to diminish prison violence and we support organizations engaging in policy reform efforts.
