Nice Plays, Inc. is dedicated to performing arts education, creation and presentation.
About This Cause
Most recently, Nice Plays, Inc. founded and produced the Milwaukee Fringe Festival, an annual inclusive festival of area and national performance and visual art, a chance for a wide range of artists to present their work, and for area audiences to learn what's happening around the edges of Milwaukee's larger institutions and across the country. It took place indoors and outdoors at one of Milwaukee's major venues, the Marcus Performing Arts Center, for six summers before establishing it's own 501-c-3 non-profit status. For many years, Nice Plays, Inc. worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Milwaukee creating original theatre plays with high school students about the students' serious concerns regarding their lives in Milwaukee. Currently, Nice Plays is looking for new projects. The focus will continue to be on supporting meaningful new performance art works.
