About This Cause
The New Hollywood is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization established in 2006. We are an accountability and leadership think tank that intends to inspire everyone to Rise Higher, Shine Brighter, and Give back through our various programs and initiatives. The New Hollywood is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization established in 2006 by Brianna Brown Keen in Los Angeles, California. Upon moving to Hollywood to pursue a career in entertainment, Brianna discovered the need for like-minded women to band together, support each other, and be of service in their community. She united these women in an effort to lead by example and utilize their platforms for good by participating in quarterly goal-setting mastermind meetings to support each other, as well as producing events to serve the community and create ripples of change together. Over the years, The New Hollywood programs and events have included: • TNH Accountability Program • TNH Mentorship Events, including a WeWork Morning of Mentoring from leaders in the entertainment industry. • TNH Fiscal Sponsorship Program for socially conscious content. • Free to Express Benefit to help stop human trafficking alongside Free the Slaves. • Women Supporting Women Supporting Mother Nature event benefiting environmental organization TreePeople. • Broadway Sniffs Out Cancer musical performance at Joe’s Pub in New York City. • The New Hollywood Benefit Cabaret at Rockwell benefitting The New Hollywood programs. Since 2006, The New Hollywood has been dedicated to supporting socially conscious storytellers and change makers through grants, goals, and mentorship, intending to inspire everyone to Rise Higher, Shine Brighter, and Give Back through our various programs and initiatives. In 2021, we teamed up with Cristen Coppen, whose organization I Am Now Me focused on mentoring youth in the halfway house system. The New Hollywood also works with tools and resources from Manifesting Your Mission - this unique program encompasses guidebooks, tutorials, private sessions, podcasts, retreats, and so much more. The New Hollywood Accountability Program supports formerly homeless single mothers and provides monthly accountability coaching utilizing guest speakers, mentorship, continued education, prizes, and techniques from its sister organization, Manifesting Your Mission. In January 2024, we solidified our official partnership with Harvest Home by receiving a generous grant, which has allowed us to receive a new group of women into our Accountability Program and host larger-scale workshops for more graduates. Harvest Home transforms the lives of homeless pregnant women and their children by providing housing, support, and programs that equip women to become great mothers. TNH Accountability Program serves as Harvest Home’s official alumni program, providing tools and mentorship for these incredible women to thrive and build better lives for themselves and their children. Donations for The New Hollywood Accountability Program are delegated towards books and supplies for continued education, monthly hour-long meetings, guest speakers and panels, individualized private coaching, and more - including a reward system that supports and nourishes both the women in the program and their children. Past rewards include holiday gift boxes, healing sessions and massages, and family tickets to theme parks including Universal and Disneyland. In October of 2023, we launched our inaugural March For Mamas fundraising walk, raising over $14,000 for our TNH Accountability Program. Due to the event’s success, we plan to continue March For Mamas annually. The New Hollywood aims to help others “Rise Higher, Shine Brighter, and Give Back:” with continued donations, we will be able to further expand the program and welcome larger cohorts of women and Harvest Home graduates. Your support of The New Hollywood Accountability Program will go towards invaluable resources, prizes, books and materials, and support for this under-served population. Help us launch these resilient women and their children into brighter futures! TNH ACCOUNTABILITY PROGRAM TESTIMONIALS: “In the program, it has allowed me to heal a lot of trauma that I suffered before, and to really connect with people. I’ve learned so much with this program, and I don’t think I ever would have learned that anywhere else. As a single parent, I can provide a lot more for my child.”- Que’Ron H. “Within the first few months, I was able to notice that it was working for me. I felt like I was able to see the progress because I was... actually accomplishing things.” - Darla P. “I didn’t have a big female support group. It’s... an ongoing encouragement, and it makes everything seem a little bit more possible.” - Destiny P. “Being able to talk to them, one-on-one, being able to call them... being able to really see them support me outside of the group when I’m going through something, has been a blessing.”- Myi G. “I was struggling before. Being able to have these other women to be able to lean on and to talk to has been a huge win for me. The New Hollywood... has been imperative to me and my success.” - Tania P.
