Mission Statement

Awareness, education and testing for the prevention of sudden cardiac arrest in our youth.

About This Cause

Our mission is three-fold: First, the Quinn Driscoll Foundation provides education to parents, teachers, athletic directors, coaches and the medical community of the risks, symptoms and pro-active detection of heart defects/diseases that cause Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The Quinn Driscoll Foundation provides education through its website, literature, public speaking events and informational meetings. The Quinn Driscoll Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness in the communities it serves; providing families and those who work for and mentor children about Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Second, the Quinn Driscoll Foundation sponsors, coordinates and manages cardiac screening events for the identification of potential risks of SCA in young people. The Quinn Driscoll Foundation provides free of charge or subsidized cardiac testing to schools, community centers and the like. The Quinn Driscoll Foundation manages, promotes and gathers qualified medical personnel to conduct screening at these events. Cardiac screening events are scheduled on an annual or bi-annual basis. Screening events are designed accommodate large numbers of young people in a single event. Third, the Quinn Driscoll Foundation provides community organizations, sports organizations, schools and other facilities with automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The Quinn Driscoll Foundation has established a grant process for the donation of AED(s) to those organizations who meet certain qualifications or criteria. Grants will be made available to the communities the foundation serves in Southwest Washington and the greater Portland Oregon metropolitan area.
