To promote environmental and cultural conservation through ethical photography and filmmaking.

About This Cause

iLCP is a global nonprofit, membership organization with 110 Fellows based in 27 countries and working in over 100 countries. These professional photographers and filmmakers devote their lives to creating compelling and important imagery to support conservation causes through visual storytelling. iLCP serves to amplify the work of our Fellows and the conservation causes led by our nonprofit conservation partners. Some of our key efforts: RAVEs (Rapid Assessment Visual Expeditions) - these multi-day, multi-photographer/filmmaker efforts are in collaboration with other conservation organizations and result in a large group of images to support conservation causes around the world; WildSpeak - an annual symposium at the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, D.C. featuring our Fellows presenting on their latest conservation efforts, and panels featuring experts in conservation and science; Rapid Response Conservation Photography Projects - these efforts send our Fellows into the field to respond to current, timely conservation issues; Kids Conservation Photography Workshops - our Fellows work with high school students around the world to teach them the techniques of and appreciation for conservation photography.
