Be Kind 5 empowers individuals and communities to inspire positive change and build a world where kindness drives action and unity through outreach, education, and advocacy.
About This Cause
How we began in 2009..Girls Giving Back has been serving the local shelter community. We provide extensive updates to transitional shelters including: installing new carpet, lighting fixtures, bathroom fixtures, closet additions and performing minor repairs. Along with these services, GGB replaces used mattresses, furnishes the units with gently used donated items and accessorizes the units (including artwork created by local area youth) to create a warm and inviting space for the temporary residents in these buildings. Through GGB's efforts, individuals seeking shelter are able to experience more than just a roof over their heads, more specifically, by living in this positive environment, they are inspired with hope and encouragement as they move forward with their lives. In 2019 GGB launched an education prevention program that will share resources in our communities so that we can prevent crisis, and show youth and adults ways to help create a healthy full life. Check it out here, Www.bekind5.org As of January 2025 Be Kind 5 was evolved into this the new non profit name so that we can expand our reach with the 5 pillars of kindness and will be continuing our support of our communities with expanded programming, GGB Shelters will be one of those programs, along with others we are excited to announce in the Summer of 2025.
