Mission Statement
Honor Flight New England transports WWII Veterans and terminally ill veterans from any war to Washington, DC to see the memorials that were made in their honor.
About This Cause
Our first flight was on June 13, 2009. It was a humbling experience to be with these WWII Veterans on our maiden voyage to D.C. Of those 50 Veterans and Guardians traveling with us on board were 14 World War II Prisoners of War and 5 World War II Heroes, including one hero that lost his sight while serving his country. Honor Flight New England will also pay tribute to America's other heroes who served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, followed by veterans of more current wars. They, too, have given so much and it's time we show them that their efforts are not forgotten. Honor Flight Network has learned a lot over these last four years and one point that stands out is that our veteran heroes aren't asking for recognition. It is our position that they deserve it. Our program is just a small token of our appreciation for those that gave so much.
