Mission Statement
EfforTZ Foundation's mission is to provide a quality education to disadvantaged Maasai girls, orphaned boys, and other impoverished children in Tanzania so that they may reach their full potential as adults and contribute to the betterment of their communities and their country. We also strive to improve the learning environment in the public primary schools by providing them with the necessary resources to provide a higher quality of education to their students by providing educational aids and school supplies.
About This Cause
We strive to advance the educational opportunities of impoverished children by providing scholarships to attend pre-secondary, and secondary schools as well as vocational schools, community colleges, and university. Our scholarships cover tuition as well as the costs of medical care, clothing, school transportation and, where necessary, room and board. Two of our more significant target populations for these scholarships are educationally deprived Maasai girls and orphaned boys. We are organized in the United State (US), maintain no-cost offices, and operate solely with uncompensated US volunteers. The only compensation that we pay is for 2 permanent staff personnel in Tanzania. We raise funds with donors located predominantly in the US but also in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
