Mission Statement
The MS Dream Center provides a dedicated resource and support facility in which people living with Multiple Sclerosis, and their care partners, may engage in a wide variety of interactive social and educational activities, workshops and therapies. The MS Dream Center goal is to bring awareness to the disease and reach out to those living with it, empowering them and offering important respite opportunities for care partners.
About This Cause
The MS Dream Center was founded by Don and Marie Perna in 2010. Marie was diagnosed in 1998 with Multiple Sclerosis after 30 years of being misdiagnosed. It was her dream to one day open a facility for people with MS and their loved ones. The center offers weekly yoga and exercise, as well as support groups, recreational activities, and socialization. Additionally, Dr. Jonathan Cahill, a Neurologist and MS Dream Center board member, visits the MS Dream Center monthly for a lunchtime Q & A. The center is a special place where friendships are formed and people care for one another. There is no fee to attend and programs are offered in person three days a week, and virtually 6 days a week to those with MS throughout the United States and Canada.
