Sojourn Network Exists to help pastors plant, grow, and multiply healthy churches that last.
About This Cause
When church planters - those who start or "plant" new churches - begin exploring their call to start a new work in a new city, with new people, they look for networks or denominations to join for initial training, funding, and on-going care and support. Specifically, our experience has shown that church planters need the following: 1. Shared beliefs with the pastors and churches they partner with. 2. Assessment of their head, heart, hands, habitat, and chemistry with their network. 3. Funding/Cash 4. Coaching and Training Existing churches also join church planting networks, but for slightly different reasons: 1. Expert counsel in ministry areas through Strategists 2. Keeping them sharp and on mission through coaching cohorts and conferences 3. Crisis care 4. On-going supplemental care (assuming that primary care happens within local church pastoral teams) This is why many networks, including Sojourn Network, exist: to provide ongoing care and support for pastors as they plant, grow, and multiply healthy churches that last.
