Mission Statement
Establish an Eritrean American Community center where the people of Eritrea origin and their families come together to collaborate, exercise their culture and tradition, and enhance their solidarity and identity while integrating successfully within the United States of America multicultural system.
About This Cause
EACGS is a 501c3 non-profit, non-political, and non-religious community organization in Sacramento, CA, formed to foster collaboration, support, and quality of life for Eritrean Americans in the greater Sacramento area by establishing a center to gather and perform various social and cultural programs and activities to foster lifelong quality relationships. Assist newly arrived Eritreans in adapting to the American multicultural system. Provide services such as citizenship and legal help, English language training, employment counseling, social adjustment services, cultural preservation and information, referral services, and addressing the unique cultural needs of Eritreans. Introduce the culture to Eritreans born in America and bridge the gap with adults born in Eritrea. Provide Eritrean language lessons to our children. Introduce programs aimed at skill development. Provide education and employment information. Assist members with family guidance and counseling.
