About This Cause
The Ken Eaton Foundation was created in 2010 in honor of my father Mr. Ken Eaton who was murdered in a hate crime in 1988 in WDSM, IA My father was a teacher at Brody Middle School where he taught English, speech and Drama for 20 Years . Education meant so much to my father !! So through the Foundation we award $1000.00 scholarships every year to all people all over the United States in honor of victims lost due to a homicide. We also do an outreach called Valentine's for Victims . My father was murdered February 13, 1988 the day before Valentine's Day, mine has NEVER been the same since , we partner with St. Anthony's catholic school and invite the familes from the past year to come to mass and the students, other businesses, companies, clubs and organizations donate items to the familes and we make them a blessing box full of good and we hope some happiness to know others care. We raise our money through donations and our annual scholarship dinner we have every year during national victims rights week.
