About This Cause
Amanecer Counseling & Resource Center (ACRC) is a multidisciplinary team-based (501 C 3) nonprofit human services organization serving Delaware. Since its inception in 2003, our organization has provided accessible, affordable, bilingual (Spanish speaking), and culturally responsive behavioral health intervention services to a diverse, vulnerable, impoverished, and mostly uninsured and under-insured population. ACRC provides bilingual, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and evidence-based outpatient counseling, resource navigation/case management, and behavioral health workforce development via a multidisciplinary team to children, adolescents, parents/caregivers, adults, and families – most who are impoverished, uninsured, and underinsured. Our organization is non-discriminatory, offering services to anyone, regardless of their ethnicity, race, religion, income/financial status, or ability to pay, marital preference, cultural background, or beliefs, and is not affiliated with any religion or Church, nor governed by any religious belief or doctrine. ACRC is the only bilingual (Spanish-speaking), culturally responsive behavioral health organization in Delaware delivering an evidence-based, trauma-informed care approach. As such, our organization has been recognized as a go-to resource by the State of Delaware’s Criminal Justice Council (CJC), Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH/Adult Mental Health), and Division of Prevention & Behavioral Health (DPBH/Child Mental Health) to assist children & youth, adults, families, as well as victims of crime including domestic violence and human trafficking.
