Mission Statement
Kollel Lomdei Shas is an organization with a mission to teach and inspire the ethical and moral values and laws of the Torah, the guide of the Jewish faith. The kollel is a house of worship in which numerous prayer services are held daily. Weekend and High Holiday services are attended by hundreds of worshippers on a constant basis. The kollel offers an advanced study program of Talmudic law and thought. Daily prayer studies are conducted on the congregation's premises. Additionally, Congregation Kollel Lomdei Shas offers student stipends, financial aid to the poor, and encouragement and sage council to all who seek advice from the Rabbis and counselors of the congregation at both the 445 S Pascack Rd. and 6 Demarest Rd. locations.
About This Cause
The funds that are donated are used for the congregation's monthly stipends for it's students and rabbis, and for expenses for the synagogue. The kollel currently has 3 paid employees, the president, secretary, and assistant rabbi. There are currently 60 kollel talmudic students enrolled at the congregation, who receive a combined annual approximate total of $400,000.00 The approximate gross annual income of the congregation is estimated at $2,450,000.00.
