Mission Statement

We believe that every family, every person deserves a home. That's why we work to end homelessness in Idaho's Treasure Valley using a Housing First model. Through intensive case management, stable housing, and resilience, we are able to end homelessness for over 200 people each year.

About This Cause

The Need • In Idaho, “child homelessness has skyrocketed,” according to United Way of Treasure Valley • In 2022, there were 446 children experiencing homelessness in Idaho, about 22% of our overall homeless population • Nationwide in 2023, children represented 20% of the total homeless population Our Success • 80% of our families graduate able to pay their rent, a key measure of success • Since our founding, we have housed more than 700 families • Each year, our program houses around 75 families in the Treasure Valley • The National League of Cities awarded CATCH model its prestigious Silver Award for Municipal Excellence The Pillars of Our Program • Stable Housing: Using a Housing First philosophy, we first help place the family in housing to regain stability in their lives. We pay rental assistance for up to six months. • Case Management: Intensive case management is the glue that makes the assistance stick. Our staff works with the family to address the root causes of their unique issues. • Financial Independence: We aid our unemployed or underemployed clients to ensure that they achieve the financial stability to maintain their housing permanently.
