Mission Statement
The Danish American Archive and Library is a center for research and education providing primary source documents focusing on Danish Americans but through them also describing the broader, common experiences of all American immigrants.
About This Cause
The Danish American Archive and Library operates a combined archive and library for research by and for the education of any member of the general public. We accumulate, organize and store materials documenting the lives of Danish immigrants and their descendants. These primary source documents are used to describe and interpret the experiences of Danes and Danish Americans but can also be viewed in a broader sense, focusing on the common hopes, fears, struggles and successes of American immigrants regardless of ethnic background.
