Mission Statement
Since 2010, our mission has been to understand and serve the health and wellness needs of the uninsured, medically underserved population in Southern Ocean County, NJ. We accomplish this by providing free primary health care through volunteer clinicians and support staff, following a “Culture of Caring” model.
About This Cause
Coastal Volunteers in Medicine is a free non-urgent primary healthcare center treating patients without medical insurance, who live in the service area within Southern Ocean County, and who have a family income below 300% of the federal poverty level. The staff includes volunteer nurses and administrative staff. We also partner with NJ CEED, NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and other organizations to provide additional screenings and care for our patients.
