Mission Statement
Kids of Kathmandu, dedicated to promoting the best for Nepal’s children since 2010, focuses on education. With trusted local partners we are rebuilding schools after the 2015 earthquake that encourage a well rounded educational experience and address additional needs around nutrition, sanitation and hygiene and health.
About This Cause
Kids of Kathmandu believe that healthy, educated children are the key to a healthy, educated world. Kids of Kathmandu has built 9 schools in the hills of Nepal. We've been incredibly fortunate to work with world-class architects, engineers, education technology providers, and construction professionals to construct 21st-century schools in some of the remotest areas in the world. Our international team, lead by our Nepali partners, has provided classrooms for over 4,000 students, water purification systems with health and hygiene training, libraries, computer labs, and new furniture all for the schools and their communities. We believe deeply in the importance of great design. We understand that a uniquely designed and sustainably built school conveys the importance of education and gives inspiration and dignity to the kids and teachers. With better opportunities for a true 21st-century education, today’s children and tomorrow’s generation will begin to affect positive change throughout Nepal.
