CHILDRENS GRAND ADVENTURE

Mission Statement

Founded in 2008, The Children’s Grand Adventure is a nonprofit organization that enables the intense resiliency of pediatric cancer and hematology patients as they transition from treatment to survivorship, via bridge building across the canyon of remission. With both physical and virtual programming offerings, children are able to begin their healing by way of the strength found within Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Patient participants are those who continue to successfully progress through cancer treatment, and are accompanied by educators, physicians and chaperones, who are previous patient campers, all of whom share in the journey. Organizers of The Children’s Grand Adventure are stewards of donated funds, one dollar and up, that are wholly designated for travel, trip expenditures, virtual accessibility for children without geographic bounds, with all organization logistics based in and around Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Thanks to generous donations, young cancer survivors can – without monetary restriction – fully embrace newfound freedom.

About This Cause

Founded upon a desire to reward the individual recipients of incredible research and treatment, The Children’s Grand Adventure provides for annually selected pediatric heroes who have graduated into remission, an opportunity to venture into the majestic fields, streams and nature of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and all of its glories in the spirit of its motto, “Healing Through Exploration”, with honor, grace and strength, as they work in symphony with the dramatically beautiful and powerful nature, that of which they had been previously susceptible to for the entirety of their youth up to their point of departure upon this journey, to see the true realities of their spectacular potentials. The power of potential, through the power of place.
