Mission Statement
Our mission is to rescue companion pets that are scheduled to be euthanized in Kansas Shelters and dog pounds and owner surrender pets. Get them healthy and socialize them.
About This Cause
We are a state licensed, no kill, home/foster based rescue organization. SRL Inc, is recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 It will be our goal to find a safe and caring home for these animals. We will always take our dog back. Any dog that comes into the rescue will be spayed/neutered, Rabies Shot, Distemper/parvo shot, deworming, Heart Worm test, nail trim, a deep clean dental, bad or loose teeth pulled, and microchipped before being available for adoption. We have typically started the dogs on flea/tick and Heartworm preventative. We provide any other medical care that is required to have a healthy dog at no extra charge. We work on socializing or rehabilitating any dog that comes to our rescue. We usually have started dogs with house training to a doggy door. This does not mean you will not have to house train a dog to your environment. Our puppies are spayed/neutered at eight weeks old before being adopted. We start them on the deworming and puppy shot regimen when they arrive. (Rescue and Shelter dogs must be spayed/neutered according to Kansas law. This means you can not use a Rescue or Shelter dog for breeding.) We work very hard at fundraising to help pay our vet bills. We do not turn dogs down if they are not healthy. It is our goal to care for the dog in whatever way is required to get it as healthy as it can be before going to its new home. We find homes for our dogs by the use of social media and adoption events 2-4 times a month. We ask for applications and check the people out as proficiently as possible to ensure our rescued dogs go to a safe and healthy home.
