Mission Statement
One Heart One Soul is a 501c3 organization providing direct services to youth in seasons of homelessness through literary and visual works for the purpose of expression, communication and healing. Through this work we combat discrimination and eliminate society's misconceptions about homelessness while empowering our youth to express their truth in a productive and creative manner.
About This Cause
We are a traveling art program bringing workshops, conversations and creativity into homeless youth drop-in centers, transitional homes and shelters. As a way to raise awareness about youth homelessness and also showcase the creativity of our youth, we display their artwork by hosting multiple pop-up exhibits across the city. We believe in platforms and extend our network and platforms to youth of our program, helping them further connect with artists, writers and career opportunities. Every winter we go the extra step by adopting emergency shelters and providing their residents with winter and hygiene necessities by hosting clothing donation drives. To date, we've served thousands of youth and adults seeking emergency shelter.
