Mission Statement
Through grassroots efforts, NATN was founded in 2002 by a group of survivors, volunteers, advocates, and professionals working to end violence against women and children. Our mission is to address the health, safety, economic and social justice issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault, and substance abuse. To achieve our mission we deliver services through 1) Training & Technical Assistance 2) Public Awareness and 3) Direct Services - housing and job training
About This Cause
Programs and Services Overview: Training & Technical Assistance - local, national and international network of survivors, advocates, and professionals provide training to law enforcement, healthcare providers, businesses, community groups, social and professional service agencies. Public Awareness: Social Media, Community Outreach, and Special Events. Direct Services: Transitional housing and supportive services for women with co-occurring issues of physical abuse, sexual trauma and substance abuse. Transitional Housing - SEEDs (Support, Education, Empowerment & DirectionS) – “Transforming Lives through Hope, Healing and Empowerment” for up to two years to address the unmet needs of battered and sexually abused women, children and families including female veterans, homeless women https://www.facebook.com/nomoreviolence Food, clothing, case managmenet, job training and life skills. Workforce Development – Cup O’Karma: Community Cafe for a Cause - a Job Training social venture program for youth and residents of our housing program. Located at 22 S. Delaware St. (inside the Chandler Public Library), members of the community volunteer and mentor job training participants. The original COK-Mesa was donated to NATN by a local business owner in June, 2008 https://www.facebook/cupokarma Free Medical & Dental care for women, children and families without insurance; Clothesline Group: free domestic violence and sexual assault support groups.
