Mission Statement

The Canton Rugby Football Club was established in 1976. We have rugby teams available for all ages from Kindergarten to 18+. Our club accepts new members of all levels, from newcomers to veterans with years of experience.

About This Cause

For nearly 40 years the Canton Rugby Football Club has been promoting the development of national amateur rugby in the Stark County area. This has been possible due to volunteer efforts by the members of this not for profit organization. In 2004 the Canton Rugby Football Club Foundation was established in order to further the development of the sport. One of the primary objectives of the foundation is the support of youth programs in the Stark County area. This program will be affiliated with already established state and nationwide programs. CRFCF members have already been instrumental in establishing local high school and middle school teams for young men to go along with the Canton Rugby Men's team, which was established in 1976 by the Canton Rugby Founders and their successors. In addition to increasing the number of high school programs, CRFC will continue to stimulate interest and participation through clinics and through the establishment of a youth development league for children under the age of 15. The foundation's fund raising will be used to ensure underserved children are afforded an equal opportunity to participate. Rugby teaches: -Teamwork and Loyalty -Discipline and Commitment -Courage and Determination -Fairplay and Respect -Spirit and Character
