Joining together with schools, churches, and homes in the Pella community to encourage strong families to grow even stronger.
About This Cause
Families First offers free Love and Logic parenting classes (including free meals and childcare) to all interested participants. Various family-bonding activities are hosted throughout the year, including the Father-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Fun Night, Thursday Nights in Pella, and Gingerbread House building. In addition to holding events, Families First also distributes early literacy and parenting information to local schools and the surrounding community. Families First’s ultimate goal is to enable both parents and children to make a positive impact in the world by establishing habits of strong parenting skills, healthy family bonding, and equipping children to make wise choices—creating a ripple effect begun by loving, healthy families who step out into their callings in the community and in the greater world.
