Mission Statement
The Littlest Lamb is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with one ultimate goal: to break the cycle of poverty and stigma associated with being an orphan in Egypt by giving children everything they need to thrive and succeed.
About This Cause
The Littlest Lamb's mission is to break the cycle of poverty and stigma associated with being an orphan in Egypt by providing a stable and well-equipped home and family atmosphere that allows orphans to become contributing members of society. Orphans in Egypt face a host of challenges, including the stigma of being “fatherless,” illiteracy, poverty and shame. Because adoption is illegal in Egypt, orphans will never have the chance to join a traditional family unit as children. We are committed to providing the best care possible for our children at the home we have built just outside of Cairo. This includes parental-style role models who will live with and guide the children, as any parent would, caring for their physical and emotional well being as well as providing a safe environment and education.
