Mission Statement
WISE Afghanistan provides safe, personalized education and healthcare access for the women and girls who need it most. We work within the frameworks of cultural and tribal customs to actively modify the attitudes, social constructs, and circumstances that hold women back. We go beyond educational curriculums to teach life skills, health, and hygiene - empowering women and girls to take charge of their futures and become leaders in their communities.
About This Cause
WISE is dedicated to transforming the lives of socially and economically disadvantaged women. We believe that education is the key to unlocking unlimited potential in women and girls in Afghanistan. Empowered women can impact their families, communities, and the world. We empower women and girls to take charge of their future by educating and providing healthcare resources. WISE strives to build more equitable communities in Afghanistan by raising the social status and standard of living for marginalized women. We envision a world where opportunities are created for women by nurturing community involvement, providing access to education and healthcare, cultivating human rights, and promoting economic development. Since 2014, WISE has provided life-changing services to more than 12,000 women and children. 89% of them received medical supplies and educational resources, including medical examinations, access to primary healthcare, over the counter medicine, and nutritional supplements to improve their health and well-being. 12% obtained public health training and education through enrollment in school or via a WISE workshop.
