Since our inception in 1912, the Ross County Humane Society has been committed to the general welfare, shelter and placement of animals, prevention of cruelty and over population, and education concerning humane treatment of all living creatures.

The Humane Society is nonprofit corporation governed by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers from the community who are dedicated to animal welfare. We are committed to the general welfare, shelter and placement of animals, prevention of animal cruelty and overpopulation, and education concerning humane treatment of all living creatures. The Society is not controlled or funded by any local, state, or national organization. Founded in 1912, we have been here when you needed us…the Ross County Humane Society is an independent organization supported by members, contributors, and bequests.
