Mission Statement
NAMI Ohio exists to improve the quality of life and ensure dignity and respect for persons with serious mental illness, and offer support to their families and close friends.
About This Cause
NAMI offers free education classes and support groups to those who live with mental illness and their loved ones. Our flagship Family-to-Family program has been named a best practice by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. All of our program leaders are volunteers who have experienced mental illness personally or as a family member or friend. Typical comments from class evaluation forms are, "NAMI saved my life" and "I realized I am not alone."
