Mission Statement
We exist to empower women and men to make life-affirming decisions regarding pregnancy, as well as the value of abstinence before marriage through counseling, education, compassionate care, material aid and through the gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Our vision is that the Crisis Pregnancy Center of the Wabash Valley is the primary organization that comes to mind when an individual faces an unplanned pregnancy, STD or HIV concern.
About This Cause
1. The Crisis Pregnancy Center is an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ through His Church. Therefore, the CPC, embodied in its volunteers, is committed to presenting the gospel of our Lord to women with crisis pregnancies – both in word and in deed. 2. The CPC will provide accurate and complete information about both prenatal development and abortion to women with problem pregnancies. 3. Because the CPC is founded on the principle that all human life is sacred from the moment of conception, and because abortion ends human life prematurely and unnaturally, the CPC will not advise, provide, or refer for abortion or abortifacients. Rather, the CPC will provide counseling designed to assist women to find an appropriate alternative. 4. The CPC is committed to assisting women to carry their unborn children to term and plan constructively for their future by providing both emotional and spiritual support as well as practical assistance. 5. The CPC is committed to creating an awareness within the local Christian community of the needs of women with problem pregnancies. 6. The CPC will offer assistance to women with problem pregnancies free of charge. 7. The CPC will not engage in contraceptive counseling, referrals, or services. However, we do provide abstinence counseling and encourage abstinence as an appropriate lifestyle before marriage. 8. The CPC will not operate as an adoption service. 9. The CPC will not discriminate in providing services because of the race, creed, color, national origin, age, or marital status of its clients.
