Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio brings people together to inspire hope, build homes, empower families, and develop communities.
About This Cause
Our goal is to build homes in partnership with families in need and dedicated volunteers in order to change lives and communities. We need your financial support for land acquisitions, house construction, family support and homeowner education programs. Habitat is a model that works. Over time, Habitat homeowners strengthen the social and financial fabric of the Columbus community through lower neighborhood crime rates, higher property values and a growing tax base. Owning a decent and affordable home has been proven to: •Help ensure a child’s educational success, •Improve a family’s health and physical safety, •Grow a sense of dignity and pride, •Advance job prospects and performance, and •Lift families out of the cycle of poverty permanently.
