Mission Statement
Sunrise offers pathways to housing for people experiencing homelessness through low-barrier access to wraparound services by providing innovative, trauma-informed, and person-centered programming that engages our communities and leads system-wide transformation.
About This Cause
Sunrise Hub: The Sunrise Hub day center provides services including humanitarian aid, meals, medical and mental health care, mail services, benefit enrollment, IDs, showers and more. This location serves thousands of people on an annual basis, averaging about 300 people per day. Additionally, 6,000 individuals receive mail at this location, creating a steady home base for our clients. Sunrise Mobile: The Sunrise Mobile outreach program brings resources and housing navigation directly to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in the Austin metro area. Services include humanitarian aid, coordinated assessments, physical and mental health wellness, substance abuse support, harm reduction, housing interventions, benefits enrollment and more. Sunrise Hotline: The Sunrise Hotline provides housing navigation and resources over the phone for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in the Austin metro area. Services include coordinated assessments, housing interventions, and connections to Sunrise programs and services. Sunrise Housing: The Sunrise Housing team provides in-depth services for clients, such as locating individuals, obtaining paperwork for those who have been referred to various housing programs and providing case management for our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) services that provide housing for individuals leaving chronic homelessness. Sunrise Wellness: The Sunrise Wellness team streamlines healthcare navigation, medication storage, substance use care, public benefits enrollment, crisis intervention, and peer support for people experiencing homelessness across all agencies in Travis County. We use an evidence-based, interdisciplinary, and holistic approach to creating effective collaborative healthcare plans for those we serve while providing a blueprint for continuity of care.
