Mission Statement
Ohio Justice & Policy Center (OJPC) is a non-profit law and advocacy office in Cincinnati, Ohio. We offer direct, pro-bono legal services to people in prison to protect basic human rights and dignity and to people in the community looking to overcome barriers created by a criminal record. We advocate for public policy that creates safe and just communities at the state and local level.
About This Cause
OJPC's mission is to create fair, intelligent, redemptive criminal justice systems through zealous client-centered advocacy, innovative policy reform, and cross-sector community education. We expand opportunities for people with criminal records to contribute to their communities. We reduce the reliance on, and ensure the fairness of, criminal justice systems for minorities and low income people. We ensure fair, humane treatment of incarcerated people and reduce the state's reliance on mass incarceration.
