Mission Statement
Step Up Bisbee/Naco is dedicated to keeping low-income, elderly, and/or disabled homeowners living in our community in warmth, safety, independence, dignity, and decency through volunteer home repair and rehabilitation services.
About This Cause
Step Up Bisbee/Naco started in 1998 (originally as part of the national organization, Rebuilding Together; and now an independent) when a group of people saw that many of their neighbors needed help with the upkeep on their homes. Over the years, volunteers have helped others in the community by coming together one day a year to work on homes. Following the old barn-raising idea, this 100% volunteer branch helps supply hot water, electricity, and indoor plumbing, and also provides major cleanup, painting, and repair work to several houses each year.
