Mission Statement

The Christmas Box International partners with local, national and international communities and groups to prevent child abuse and to improve the quality of life for children, teens and young adults who have been abused, neglected or are homeless.

About This Cause

The Christmas Box International (CBI) provides assistance to prevent child abuse, and services to improve the quality of life for children, teens and young adults who have been abused, neglected or are facing homelessness. Our motto is simple: every child deserves a childhood. Annually some 10,000 at-risk children and youth are served with the majority being involved either in foster care or kinship care, or they are receiving in-home services developed to prevent these children from needing to be removed from their homes. The Christmas Box International child and youth programs provide wrap around resources to 900 children 0-18 years of age who experience abuse, neglect or homelessness and stay at one of The Christmas Box Houses in Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Moab, Utah. An additional 5,200 at-risk children, teens, and young adults in Utah communities and 1,900 in several other countries also receive resources including clothing, books, toys, educational supplies, dental care, and community activities. New in-kind items, activities and connections to community resources are provided for 820 at-risk and homeless young adults 14 to 22 years of age. Some 2,200 children receive gifts for Christmas morning through our holiday giving program.
