to provide food and clothing for people in need through the generosity of our community
About This Cause
NACE provides the following services: Food Shelf Distribution - We provide free healthy and nutritious food to our local residents who suffer from hunger and food insecurity. Weekend Packs - We provide a back pack of readymade or easy to fix kid-friendly food for children who need food over the weekend. Clothing Closet - We receive donated clothing and coats and distribute them to our clients. Crisis Packs We provide crisis packs of non-perishable food to local churches and organizations who then distribute them to people who come to them for assistance. Summer Packs We provide a bag of kid-friendly, easy to fix food during June, July and August to families with school-age children. Home Delivery –We provide groceries and build positive relationships with homebound participants in Northern Anoka County. Holiday Meal – We provide food to families so they can enjoy a Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner. Birthday Gift Bags - We prepare a birthday gift bag for children when their family visits the food shelf the month of their birthday. Each Birthday Gift Bag includes a cake mix, frosting, candles, and a gift for the child. Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) We distribute boxes of food through this federal program to seniors each month.
