Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower young girls through a transformative camping experience and mentorship. We aim to boost self-confidence, enhance self-esteem, cultivate leadership skills, and guide positive life choices in young girls as they mature to become strong women.
About This Cause
The T.T.T. goal is to track program participants over time to access their choices in these areas, measuring the impact of our connections with them: Educational pursuits – Education may seem unrelated to summer camp, but T.T.T. women believe in the connection. The confidence and skill-awareness developed at camp improves the chance of advanced educational pursuits. T.T.T. members encourage and track the post-high school educational decisions made by our campers. Career choices – Historically, women had three career choices: nurses, teachers, or secretaries. True, this is less the case in the 21st century, but for the T.T.T. girls the choices are just as slim. T.T.T. campers need to interact with women who have followed their dreams to make personal choices that may be outside the historic expectations. Members of our chapters can be those role models. T.T.T. women can also introduce our campers to women who demonstrate expanded horizons. Personal relationship choices – Friends and making friends can be challenging for young girls. Yet, friends influence life choices, career success, and setting worthy goals. The summer camp program sets the standard for appropriate choices and is a predictor of wise life goal decisions. Starting with the summer camp experience T.T.T. women encourage healthy friendships and thoughtful life goals.
