About This Cause
NY de Volunteer offers cultural/Japanese language volunteer activities and Global Leadership Development Program with the aim to develop the global-mind people who respects various cultures and different ideas. We are a 501(3) C NPO (non-profit organization) registered in the State of New York, founded 20 years ago. We are striving to develop the people who would constantly ask themselves "What I can do now for the society or other people?". Any Japanese who grew up in Japan can be a volunteer who tells Americans about Japanese cultural events/food/life style, etc., or can teach the Japanese language to an English speaker, and experience the joy of volunteering; and learn to know that anybody can contribute to the society without a special skill; and learn it is great to contribute within a limit of what you can do, and when you can do. NY de Volunteer is a group which offers the initial chance to everybody to be a contributor to a society, and an action taker. NY de Volunteerは、日米文化交流を促進する社会貢献プログラム（ボランティア活動）、グローバル・リーダーシッププログラムを提供することで、多様性を相互に理解し合えるグローバルマインドを持った人材の育成を目的とした20年の歴史を持つ非営利法人です。アメリカ国税局から501(c)(3) IRS Status(税金控除資格)を取得しています。 「自分には何ができるか？」を常に問うような人間の育成を目指し、日本人なら誰でもできる日本文化紹介や日本語の勉強支援のボランティア活動を通じてボランティアの喜びや意義を経験してもらい、自ら社会貢献をするような人間になってもらう； どこにいてもスキルがなくても、社会貢献はできる； 自分ができることを自分のできる範囲でやる；NY de Volunteerは、そのような人間になるきっかけを提供している団体です。
