Help Give a Chained Dog Shelter from Deadly Weather
Within the vicinity of our ROLDA sanctuary in Galati, Romania, the sights of makeshift dog shelters and the sounds of dogs barking serve as a reminder of the over 1,200 low-income families unable to afford adequate housing for their beloved pets. It is a heartbreaking reality that many of these dogs suffer and meet their demise every year due to extreme weather.
One doghouse can protect two dogs from harsh weather.
As part of their new initiative, ROLDA plans to provide 400 doghouses to families in nearby villages by the end of 2027. This will provide a much-needed refuge for 800 dogs, ensuring their safety. When you support ROLDA's doghouse project, you're ensuring that these dogs receive immediate relief and the safety they require to stay alive.
Until December 31, 2025, our Swiss partners are generously boosting every donation by $35, giving your contribution even more impact. For the cost of one doghouse, a donation of $155 can make a world of difference to a dog in need, although any amount given will be appreciated.
Our team ensures these doghouses are built with durability and security in mind, preventing them from being dismantled easily for firewood or repairs, like their wooden counterparts. To ensure the doghouses are being used as intended, our team will regularly visit each household.

While a loving, indoor home is irreplaceable, we provide a toy with each doghouse we deliver, offering a source of comfort and entertainment for dogs living in desolate yards. We will exchange a heavy chain tie-out for a lighter one if a dog is tethered, giving them the opportunity to roam more freely.
