Mission Statement
Cambodian Community Dream's vision is to create healthy, educated, thriving, sustainable villages in rural areas of Siem Reap, Cambodia. Our mission is to promote sustainable village development in partnership with Cambodian people by helping to provide clean water, sanitation, educational opportunities, health care from birth onwards, improved nutrition, and economic empowerment. We work to increase awareness of environmental and social responsibility within families and communities by helping provide the necessary tools for villagers to improve their quality of life; feel pride and reach their highest potential.

C - Commitment to access free quality education for all children C - Community involvement and honesty in all that we do D - Development of culture and living environment O - Opportunity to live a better life, breaking free of the poverty cycle Education is the key to improving the current situation. CCDO has built almost 1300 water wells and over 450 latrines in the past 12 years. We combine this with a Health & Hygiene Education both with the parents and children. We teach them to take care of the wells as well as the water filters. Washing hands and keeping the environment clean leads to better health. We believe in a hand up and not a hand out and request that the villagers form a partnership with CCDO. Educating the children and providing English Classes, Sports and Library opportunities is the key to success. Our Nutrition Program feeds 1100 children with a breakfast at school, co-funded by parents. Our scholarship program ensures some kids a high school or university education. Our Women's Workshops instills the message into the community. Our Anti-Trafficking program is spreading the word to keep the kids safe and in school. CCDO is run by Western Volunteers in the USA and supported by volunteers in Cambodia. We employ Cambodians on the ground in Siem Reap to ensure that the programs are run effectively and that each dollar spent is accounted for.
