Mission Statement
Starting with 5 rented apartments in 1984, Families Forward has expanded to work with hundreds of families to regain economic independence and find a stable home for their children. Our vision is to end homelessness for local families.
About This Cause
Families Forward is an Irvine-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded in 1984 tohelp families in need achieve and maintain self-sufficiency through housing, food, counseling, education (career, financial and life-skills) and other support services. Families Forward is committed to serving each family with the core values of dignity, empowerment, accountability, community spirit, and hope. It is our belief that by linking support with accountability, we can help families help themselves to regain and maintain self-sufficiency. Families Forward’s target population is families with minor-aged children who reside in Orange County. All of the families served are extremely low- to moderate-income, striving to either reach or maintain self-sufficiency. Families Forward serves all age ranges and all races and ethnicities.
