Mission Statement
The Command Museum is part of the MCRD/WRR G-3 and the Museum Mission Statement requires supporting recruit training, providing for the continuing education of Marines, supporting the recruiting effort, and serving as a bridge to the civilian community.
About This Cause
The Command Museum Foundation is the non-profit charitable organization that was established thirty years ago to support the Marine Corps' Command Museum here in San Diego. As expected, the support the Foundation provides the Museum helps preserve and protect the Marine Corps history that is on display at the Museum and at other locations in San Diego County. What makes the Museum and the Foundation a very special Team, is the manner that the Foundation's funding and resources better enables the Museum to fulfill its Mission Statement with a variety of Museum Programs that support recruit training, the recruiting mission, as well as community outreach programs that are designed to assist youth, veterans in need, and the families of fallen military personnel.
