Mission Statement

AASCSC Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 1989 with the philosophy of “caring for elders as if they were our own”. Our principal mission is “dedicated to increasing the awareness of the needs of the Asian American elderly, assisting their access to essential healthcare and social services, and promoting a dignified living in the community.”

About This Cause

For more than thirty years, AASCSC has been entrusted to serve, protect, and celebrate our elders, youth, and families as they progress through different stages of life. AASCSC believes in an intergenerational approach to building a stronger and healthier community through direct services, advocacy, and capacity building. Given our history and community support, AASCSC has the authority to identify outreach efforts that impact the community and utilize our network to educate, motivate, activate, and respond. AASCSC's niche is engaging the Chinese diaspora of immigrants and refugees from Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, and other countries. To serve the diaspora, AASCSC is equipped with multilingual and multicultural staff and volunteers fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese, Teochew, Hakka, Shanghainese and many other dialects. AASCSC is committed to providing effective, equitable, and compassionate care to empower our most vulnerable to lead independent, meaningful, and dignified lives.
