Mission Statement

The Mission of New Image is to: decrease and prevent homelessness throughout Los Angeles County by providing comprehensive Case Management, Supportive Services, housing, job search and placement, outreach, and referral services.

About This Cause

New Image is currently celebrating 32 years in operation; and having provided case management and housing placement to more than 3.2 million homeless and low-income populations. (See “Attachments”.) We credit this to the fact that all New Image programs maintain Case Managers who provide and coordinate comprehensive and supportive services to better address the clients unmet needs. It is this component that enables the Case Managers to develop an ‘Individualized Service Plan’, which identifies, specially, the needs of each homeless or low-income individual or family, and how each need will be met. It is through this method that jobs, housing placement, vocational training, obtainment of financial rental, utility and move-in assistance, and/or the resolution of other unmet needs are obtained. Once placed into housing, through monthly follow-up and the provision of supportive services, stability in independent living is achieved. Additionally, all New Image programs are designed to strengthen, empower, and prepare the homeless with the tools necessary for their successful sustainment in permanent housing, i.e.: post-housing placement; case management; supportive services; life skills training; money management; credit repair; job search and placement; access to free child care; no cost basic medical services and free pharmaceuticals; transportation, and more. New Image operates the five following programs and provides numerous supportive services to homeless and low-income individuals and families with children. New Image does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. 1.
