Mission Statement
The Redondo Beach Educational Foundation (RBEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire our community to invest in Redondo Beach public schools so that every student can develop knowledge and skills that go beyond what public funding alone would achieve.
About This Cause
Established in 1991, the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation (RBEF) continues the tradition of the very first educational foundation in California, which began as a grass roots effort by concerned parents and community leaders whose mission was to provide supplemental funding of enrichment programs. In the summer of 2008, a new RBEF Board of Trustees was formed to rebuild, re-brand and revitalize this much needed community organization. For the 2021-22 school year, RBEF will be contributing $1,028,000 to support the district in providing invaluable opportunities for students in science, music, arts, sports, math and college preparation. These funds will sustain programs and provide staff salaries, as well as help create new programs that continue to bring value to the educations of the Redondo Beach students. Children are born learners and thrive in an environment where they can connect with each other, their teachers, and their school communities and schools have the right resources for teaching and learning.
