About This Cause

Project Access is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1999, dedicated to serving low-income families, children, and seniors. The individuals we support have incomes at or below 80% of the area median, with many classified as "very low-income," often earning less than $30,000 per year. Operating in over 100 properties across 17 states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington, Project Access provided direct services to more than 28,000 people in need in 2024. Our Approach Project Access partners with housing developers and owners through a partial fee-for-service model to deliver free, on-site services to residents. This collaboration, along with in-kind donations of space, enables us to offer comprehensive programs through our Resource Centers, addressing the unique needs of each community. At the heart of our work is the Resident Services Coordinator, stationed at every location to facilitate programs that empower individuals and strengthen communities. Our services focus on four key initiatives: Health & Wellness The Need: 48.8 million Americans, including 16.2 million children, struggle with food insecurity.
